The stunning Hotel Colette is nestled right in the centre of Cannes, and just a hop, skip and a jump away from La Croisette beach. The glimmering lights of the city, the moon cutting a perfect crescent above us, and the salty air has captured our hearts already. The welcome we are given makes our smiles even broader as we entered our cosy little bedroom. The bijou boudoir is decorated with fresh, white tones and a bohemian chic that effortlessly blend together. The modern touch extends to the state-of-the-art facilities including a flat screen television and, in the bathroom, we find a snug bathtub, ideal for luxuriating in those heavenly scented L'Occitane products that have been kindly laid out for us.

Our curiosity eventually leads us back out of our room to explore the surroundings. It isn't long before we realise how hungry we are, and so we stumble back out into the warm night in search of our first delicious French meal. Thanks to the perfectly located the hotel, many restuarnts are just a stones’ throw from the hotel. We find an enchanting little restaurant with glowing lamps and a secret garden that has become one of our favourite haunts in Cannes, Le Jardín Secret. We have a delightful meal and return to our lovely hotel to sink into the crisp Egyptian cotton sheets.

The morning dawns a perfect eggshell blue and the lemon sun is playing against our window. We get up just in time to catch the buffet breakfast on the hotel veranda: a feast of fresh juices, hot continental dishes, and buttery pastries. Later, we decide to tour the town with the wind in our hair, on the hotel’s electric Solex bikes. Before that, however, we are intent on making the most of this brilliant breakfast: indulging to our heart's content and revelling in the attentive details and fabulous hospitality of the Hotel Colette!
