View all offersThe elements of fire and water are reflected in both the architecture and atmosphere of this majestic hotel. The Sofitel Agadir Royal Bay*****, located on the North African coast of Morocco, provides a holiday experience which ticks every box, no matter your style or preference. In this warming and enigmatic resort, colours and lights are contrasted and combined to create the ultimate exotic environment, enthralling your every sense yet still putting your mind at rest.
The name Agadir comes from the Berber language and describes "a wall enclosing a fortress or town"; an accurate metaphor for the privacy and sense of preservation felt by guests of the Sofitel Agadir Royal Bay Resort. An ode to traditional Moorish architecture; the Royal Bay resort uses earthy tones and complex patterns contained within starkly bold shapes for a contemporary Arabic look. Bright golds, oranges and reds are gracefully incorporated for an interior which will not fail to lift your mood. Perfect for families, the hotel’s Villas or Prestige Suites give you plenty of room to spread out and make yourselves at home along with access to an outdoor patio, a lavish lounge, and a comprehensive list of amenities.
Harsh winters and rainy days will seem like mythical fantasies when you experience Agadir’s ever-present warmth and sunshine. Take a break on one of the colourful futons by the heated outdoor pool, where you can finally get immersed in that thriller you’ve been meaning to read, sip on refreshments or simply soak up the Moroccan sun in a calm and carefree environment. Alternatively, you could take yourself down to the beach, where the pale sands, clear waters and swaying palm trees will make you feel as though you’ve been transported straight into a vintage postcard picture.
Lying in the sun all day can be quite exhausting, which is why you must take advantage of the hotel’s relaxation spa – its treatments ranging from argan oil massages to orange blossom baths. Proud of its reputation as one of Morocco’s finest golfing resorts, the hotel will also organise an all-inclusive luxury golfing experience for you, whether you’re a complete beginner or a long-time professional.
Choice and variety are at the forefront of its charming character, meaning you could be eating Mediterranean at the hotel’s popular ‘L’Arganier’ one night, and Japanese at the sensational ‘So Good’ the next. The hotel’s dining venues differ significantly from one another – dine outside for an aura of romance and relaxation, then enjoy your cocktails inside the trendy and beautifully illuminated indoor bar. What’s not to like at the Sofitel Agadir Royal Bay Resort?
