View all offersSo are you ready for me to fill you in on the secret? Though I am sure you enjoy the butterflies that arise when one is faced with a delicious surprise, I am also sure that you are dying to find out a few essential details. That’s where I come in, and I can tell you all that you need to know yet still leave that air of mystery for your secret destination.
The secret hotel finds itself conveniently in between the bustling medina and peaceful seaside, the perfect location for a combination of culture and relaxation, though the winds of this famously windy coast lends perfectly to a whole range of water sports! If sports and adventure aren’t quite your thing however, then you are also in luck as this hotel doesn’t have the word “spa” tagged along the end for nothing. This five-star establishment boasts a top-notch spa, and not just any spa but a thermal and thalassotherapy spa in a vicinity that is attached to the hotel, boasting both long-stay and short-stay treatments. The facility is decorated with colourful mosaics, typical of Moroccan décor and evokes an air of complete tranquillity. It was the perfect place for my husband and me to unwind after a busy and hot day in the souks.
It was also a relaxing experience retiring to our superior room, with a refreshing view of the large swimming pool below. The décor was neutral with hints of Moroccan style in patterns and rich colours, and it felt spacious and welcoming being 30m². We had a large king-size bed for those all-important good night sleeps and a furnished balcony where we could stargaze.
The swimming pool below, lined with sun beds happened to be heated so that even if one day was a little cloudy, we still had the pleasure of taking a dip. The hotel was not short of sports activities; there was a private beach where we could windsurf, sail or go on boat excursions, fitness centre, gymnastics course, golf-course and even horse-riding available.
Choice is one thing you’ll always have with VeryChic and with this stunning hotel there’s a choice of three different restaurants, each as elegant as the other yet each distinct. One is based on Berber cuisine, just one of the tribes present in this area of Morocco, and the cuisine focuses on a Mediterranean theme. Breakfast is served in this lovely and bright room, preparing you for the day with fresh fruity flavours. Then there’s the beach side restaurant, where fresh sea bass pulled up from the water’s edge to be served on your plate. This restaurant plus another focus on the Souiri way of cooking, another tribe from the region. The latter’s cuisine is a little more formal and detailed. To end or begin your evening there are two bars, one for an afternoon snack in the form of a sweet pastry and one almost a nightclub for a nightcap with sweet cocktails and authentic Moroccan spirits.
This hotel’s impeccable facilities and welcoming heart provide the perfect stay in Essaouira, and of course with all hotels VeryChic, their chic style will be irresistible! Is our secret safe with you…?
