It’s a key location for the Modernism movement which paved the way for Picasso and other well-renowned artists, and thanks to its privileged position in the Mediterranean, it enjoys a microclimate, meaning visitors can enjoy enviable temperatures all year round.   • Built in the 1890s by the pioneer of the Modernista movement, Santiago Rusiñol, Museu Cau Ferrat is a whitewashed mansion full of art by Rusiñol, Picasso and El Grecos. The exquisitely tiled walls and loft arches are enchanting.

  • We recommend Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN) that sits just 12km / 7.5mi southwest of Barcelona city centre and is the closet airport to the hotel. It receives flights from many capitals and major cities across Europe, including the UK. The airport is a main base for Vueling, and a hub for Iberia, Air Europa, Ryanair, and Norwegian Air Shuttle.

    Alternatively, Girona–Costa Brava Airport (GRO) is around 100km / 62mi north of Barcelona, or Reus Airport (REU) is around 100 km (62 mi) southwest of Barcelona.
