I’ve found that it can be tricky to keep everyone happy on holiday. No matter how hard I try each year, it always seems that one member of the family has to compromise on some elements of our much-anticipated getaway. But that was certainly not the case at the Crvena Luka Hotel and Resort **** on the beautiful Adriatic coast of Croatia. Nestled peacefully between outstanding natural parks and old towns oozing with history, this all-encompassing resort had enough relaxation facilities, invigorating activities and delicious restaurants to delight even my fussy brood of holidaymakers.

Overlooking the Adriatic Sea, the Crevena Luka Hotel & Resort is located on Croatia’s idyllic west coast, 3km from the town of Biograd and 30km from the city of Zadar.

BY PLANE

  • Zadar Airport is the closest airport to the hotel, however flights are seasonal. Split is the next best served airport, around 90km away. Flights to Split are listed below:

    - From the UK: British Airways, Croatia Airlines, EasyJet and Wizz Air all fly from London. EasyJet further flies from Manchester and Newcastle upon Tyne. Jet2 flies from Edinburgh, Leeds/Bradford and Manchester.

    - From Germany: Croatia Airlines fly from Frankfurt and Munich, and EasyJet from Berlin-Schönefeld and Hamburg. Germanwings flies from Cologne/Bonna dn Stuttgart, and operate seasonal flights from Berlin-Tegel, Dortmund, Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Hannover. Lufthansa flies from Munich, and seasonally from Frankfurt.

    - From the Netherlands: EasyJet flies seasonally from Amsterdam, and Transavia from Rotterdam.

    - From Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark: Scandinavian Airlines operate seasonal flights from Aalesund, Bergen, Billund, Copenhagen, Gothenburg-Landvetter, Helsinki, Kristiansand, Oslo-Gardermoen, Stavanger, Stockholm-Arlanda and Trondheim

HOW TO GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL

  • The hotel can provide a transfer on request at time of booking with VeryChic.

    From Zadar Airport:
    A taxi will take half an hour and will cost 340 to 400 Croatian kuna (45€ - 55€). Alternatively, you can get the bus from Zadar Airport to Zadar Station, and from there to Biograd na Moru which will cost 17 - 55 Croatia kuna (2€ - 7€). From there it is a short taxi ride to the hotel.

    From Split Airport:
    The quickest way to arrive is by hiring a car. Follow signs towards Zagreb/Šibenik/E65/A1 and merge onto the A1/E65/E71. Follow it for about 73 kilometres to Zapužane then take exit 19-Benkovac. Turn right onto D27 then left at the end of the road onto D503. Continue onto Ul. dr. Franje Tuđmana/D503 then turn right onto the ramp to Šibenik. Merge onto the Jadranska magistrala then turn right after about 4 kilometres. Take the first right then the second left and the hotel will be on your right.
