Hôtel Château Cléry

Prise open this manor house in northern France to find a pearl within.

By Kathryn Atkins, VeryChic correspondent
While many Brits pass through the Calais area without a second glance, speeding to better-known tourist destinations, a glittering coastline and secretly charming countryside lies undiscovered. From views across to the white cliffs of Dover, to quiet, shimmering beaches, the Côte d’Opale has much to offer. A short drive from this opalescent coastline takes you to the pretty village of Hesdin l’Abbé and the grand 18th-century manor of Hôtel Château Cléry , where more pearls await discovery.
