Montmartre, within Paris’s 18th arrondissement, encapsulates art, fashion, culture and character. Here, the streets are filled with joie-de-vivre and nostalgic memories of the days when they inspired writers, dancers and painters, like Picasso or Renoir. Bohemian ideals emanated throughout — Montmartre’s inhabitants were sensual citizens of the world, leading eccentric lives in pursuit of pleasure, freedom and creativity. That’s exactly what you too can find at the Hôtel R. Kipling ****, a sophisticated establishment that exudes personality and pays homage to the astounding author of The Jungle Book, Rudyard Kipling.

Chic idea: to make the most of your time in Paris, book your tickets in advance for a wide range of activities, here.
