ADMINISTRATIVE FORMALITIES

  • Citizens of most European countries, including the UK, will be granted a visa upon arrival at UAE airports.

To enter the United Arab Emirate, it is mandatory to have a passport which is valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival in the UAE, along with proof of return or onward travel out of the UAE.

BY PLANE

  • Dubai International Airport (DXB) sits about 4.6km / 2.9mi northeast of Dubai city centre. The airport welcomes many international flights, including from most capitals and other large cities across the UK and the rest of Europe, and serves as the main base for Emirates airlines.

From the airport to the hotel:
    • Metro: a metro is available from Terminal 3 of Dubai International Airport; take the red line (every 10 minutes) to Business Bay, and then you may walk for 10 minutes to your destination. This journey lasts 30 minutes.

Ramadan takes place between the 10th March and 9th April. There are, however, no restrictions enforced on tourists regarding Ramadan.
Restaurants are open during the day and it is possible to consume alcohol (in the evening, it is however recommended to wait for Iftar, the fast-breaking evening meal).
The vast majority of tourist attractions will be open during Ramadan and may enjoy fewer crowds than at other times of year. It may be the case that certain attractions open an hour later in the morning, and close an hour later in the evening.
