Amsterdam
Netherlands
The Bilderberg Garden Hotel is located at the south of Amsterdam, 15 minutes walk from the famous Museumplein place and Vondelpark.
Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS), is located around 16km south-west from the city centre and is the main international airport in the Netherlands.
The airport is very well served internationally, and receives flights from most capitals and many other large cities across Europe. The airport serves as a hub for KLM as well as Corendon Dutch Airlines, Martinair, Transavia, TUI Airlines Netherlands, Delta Air Lines and Jet Airways, and also as a base for EasyJet and Vueling.
- By taxi: Taxis are always available in front of the airport and will take you directly to the hotel. It is certainly the easiest solution, although a little more expensive, costing about 45€ (around £32). Look out for the new Taxi-E’s - fully electric, they are climate neutral cars so you contribute to a more sustainable world! They are also slightly cheaper than regular taxis and offer free Wi-Fi too!
- By train: Convenient and the most economical way to get to the hotel. The Schiphol station is situated directly below the airport where you can take an Intercity or Sprinter train to to Amsterdam Zuid station. From there it is a 15 minute walk up Minervalaan street to the hotel.
From the UK, the Eurostar operates trains from London to Amsterdam (in conjunction with Thalys). The journey time is around 4 hours and 45 minutes, with a change over in Brussels. Otherwise from mainland Europe, trains are available from many other countries and can be found and booked online with companies such as Rail Europe.
From Amsterdam Centraal Station take tram no. 5 to Gerrit van der Veenstraat station, a few minutes' walk from the hotel.
From Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays, Sundays and French bank holidays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Local call charges may apply.
