BY PLANE

  • Paris is served by three main airports: Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG), located 25 km (16 mi) to the northeast of Paris, Paris Orly (ORY), located 13 km (8.1 mi) south of Paris, and Paris Beauvais (BVA), around 85 km (53 mi) north of Paris (near the city of Beauvais).

    Paris Charles de Gaulle and Paris Orly receive flights from most capitals and major cities across Europe. Meanwhile, low-cost airlines (notably Ryanair), operate flights to Paris Beauvais from many cities across Europe.



    From the UK is it possible to book via Eurostar, otherwise Thalys or TGV operate from other neighbouring counties and elsewhere in France.

HOW TO GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL

  • From Paris Charles de Gaulle:

    - By taxi: Taxis are easily found outside each terminal, be sure to take an officially licensed taxi from the rank. Fares vary depending on traffic, but expect to pay between 50 to 65 euros.

    - By train: This is generally the most cost-efficient method. The airport connects to the city via Line B of the RER; take the train to Gare du Nord. Then, make your way to La Chapelle station and take the M2 to Alexandre Dumas, which is a short walk away. Tickets are 9.75€ or 6.85€ for children (4- 9).

    From Paris Orly airport:

    - By taxi: Taxis are easily found outside each terminal, make sure to take an officially licensed taxi from the rank. Fares vary depending on traffic, but expect to pay between 30 to 40 euros.

    - By bus/train: Take the Orly Sud bus line to Charles de Gaulle Etoile, and then switch to the metro to take M2 to Alexandre Dumas, just a short walk away. The Orly Sud costs around 14€, while a single metro ticket costs 2€
