Let whoever may have attained to so much as to have the power of drawing know that he holds a great treasure. - Michelangelo
Of all the treasures of Paris, the one recognised by Michelangelo, the art of drawing, has never been brought to the very heart of a luxury hotel. The Drawing Hotel **** houses a private arts centre, the Drawing Lab, which spreads its influence throughout the building, into each room and adorning each wall. Contemporary artists with different styles but a shared passion for innovation have been given carte blanche on each of the hotel’s five floors. In your Drawing Classique, Superior or Deluxe room, you may be greeted with a stylised representation of the moment before dawn, or a delicate filigree of abstract brush strokes reminiscent of an oriental landscape.
The hotel’s personnel are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about opportunities in the locality to experience more of Paris’s contemporary arts scene, and are delighted to advise guests on galleries and exhibitions they would appreciate. They’re also more than happy to direct you to their favourite brasseries and cafes for dinner or morning coffee and pastries. But before leaving the building, do visit the in-house arts centre, where the Drawing Lab holds exhibitions dedicated to contemporary drawing, the first arts centre in France of its kind.
In the Drawing Hotel ****, the city of treasures has added yet another facet to its wealth of delights!
