France

Situated in the heart of the city of Rennes in Brittany, the Balthazar Hôtel & Spa Rennes - MGallery ***** is just a stone's throw from the historic centre and the train station.

BY PLANE

  • Rennes–Saint-Jacques Airport (RNS) is located about 6 km / 3.7 mi southwest of Rennes, and around 8.2 km / 5 mi (20 minutes') drive from the hotel. The airport receives regular flights from elsewhere in France, and some regular and seasonal flights from a handful of European cities such as London or Amsterdam.

An alternative might be to fly to Nantes, a little further south. Nantes Atlantique Airport (NTE) is about 116 km / 72 mi (1 hour 30 minutes') drive from the hotel and is fairly well-served with both seasonal and regular flights from a number of major cities across Europe, as well as elsewhere in France.

From the airport to the hotel:
    • Bus: both the C6 and bus n°57 operate to Rennes city centre every day, taking around 20 minutes. The bus stop is located around 300m from the terminal building.
    • Train: Saint-Jaques de la Lande station is around a 15-minute walk from the airport, to the Gare de Rennes in the city centre, taking around 5 minutes.
    • Taxi: the taxi rank is located outside the arrival hall, prices are by the metre, and the journey is around 15 minutes to the city centre.

BY TRAIN

  • The Gare de Rennes is located in the city centre. It is a 10 minute walk from the train station to the hotel, or 2 stops on the metro from Gares to Republique. The station is served by France’s regular and high-speed train networks. It is therefore possible to arrive by high-speed train, with companies such as TGV, Eurostar or Thalys from various countries across Europe (as well as other cities in France).
