For me, Crete has almost everything you could dream of in a holiday destination. It has history to excite Archaeology professors; a modern vibrancy to entice any social butterfly, and enough unique cultural heritage to feel like a country of its own. Out on its Eastern edge is the charming old fishing town of St. Nicolas, home to a resort that is too sophisticated to boast, but has received plenty of accolades. It has taken the luxury beachside dream and made it a reality - The St Nicolas Bay Resort Hotel & Villas is one of Crete's most exquisite examples of hospitality.

  • Heraklion International Airport, “Nikos Kazantzakis” (HER), Crete's main airport, sits just east of Heraklion on the northern coast, around 50 minutes' drive west of the hotel. The airport receives flights from a large number of cities across Europe, including the UK. Many flights operate in the summer seaon, otherwise it may be required to fly indirect via Athens.
