The ancient Greeks’ Seven Wonders of the World continue to linger in our collective consciousness, enhanced only by modern attempts to update them. Of the contemporary contenders, the most architecturally inspired and amazing is surely the world-famous Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. On the outer halo of the artificial island fronds, Anantara the Palm Dubai Resort seems to capture the spirit of those ancient wonders. When you visit, you will realise that they need to add another to the seven, making a perfect eight!
