The SO/ Vienna ***** is located in the Leopoldstadt district in the heart of the Austrian capital, in the country’s east on the Danube River.
BY PLANE
Vienna is served by Vienna International Airport (VIE), located in Schwechat, around 18 km / 11 mi south-east of central Vienna. The airport receives a large number of flights from across Europe, and in particular acts as a hub for Austrian Airlines, and base for Eurowings and Niki.
From the airport to the hotel:
• Train: the City Airport Train (CAT) and S7 express both operate to Wien Mitte station in the city centre. Meanwhile, regular train services also operate to Wien Hauptbahnhof (Vienna Central Station).
• Bus: although slower than the train services, a number of bus options are available from the airport to various points of the city.
• Taxi: readily available just outside the arrivals hall, the journey to the city centre should take around 20-30 minutes.
From Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays, Sundays and French bank holidays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
