From fairway to Clubhouse
The 18-hole professional golf course ends at an old chapel, which today houses the Club House and Brasserie leading to a charming terrace and heated outdoor swimming pool. Nevertheless, an extended history lesson awaits nearby at the lovingly restored castle, where you will find a spiral staircase dating back to the Renaissance and a huge roaring fireplace that’s the perfect setting for sharing stories of your sporting triumphs.
Bunker down
When it’s time to turn in, you’ll have plenty of room, whether you’re staying in a Traditional, Superior or Deluxe Room – all 22 combine traditional décor and period furniture with modern comforts. Each room has its own personality, and tall windows and sumptuous bedspreads and drapes add to the elegant atmosphere. It doesn’t matter if you are in a high-ceilinged room with a four-poster bed or an atmospheric attic room at the top of the tower, look out the window and you’ll see the luscious garden stretching as far as the eye can see.
Hole-in-one
Whether you are perfecting your swing or enjoying a swim, the castle has everything you need conveniently at hand. A buffet breakfast is served each day in the castle kitchen, or on the terrace during sunny summer months, while dinner is a grand affair thanks to the recent addition of Chef Laurence Hernandez and this team. Both the brasserie and fine-dining restaurants specialise in traditional French cuisine featuring organic ingredients and most meals are served in the attractive, light-filled conservatory.
