Bold versus subtle…
Upon entering the Novotel Lyon Confluence Bord de Saone, you are struck by the daring interior design, where towering windows create an open and airy space, complemented by a living wall. Distinctive light fittings suspended at varying heights appear as floating droplets of water by day and stars in the sky by night – a fitting match for the glittering decor of the hotel’s bar. Upstairs, however, unearth the clean and simple design of your comfortable, superior room, a beacon of pristine white and understated grey, creating an entirely relaxed ambiance.
Ancient versus avant-garde…
Strike out into the sprawling docks of the Confluences area, lined with fashionable eateries and shops and born out of the vestiges of industry. Check out the vibrant, adventurous architecture of Le Cube Orange or Le Musée des Confluences before travelling north towards the streets of Vieux Lyon. Here, weave your way through narrow, cobbled passageways, marvelling at the intricate masonry of medieval buildings and delicate rosy hues of Renaissance terraces.
Convenience versus adventure…
Enjoy the choice between throwing yourself into the city from dawn until dusk or taking a more relaxed approach by making the most of the luxurious amenities offered by the Novotel Lyon Confluence Bord de Saone. Some nights, sample Lyon’s docklands from the comfort of the onsite restaurant and delight in riverside vistas as you sip a sunset cocktail on the terrace. Other nights, simply hop on a vaporetto and voyage up the Saône to make your own discoveries in this captivating city.
