Maxime Hotel

Cabaret themed hotel in the heart of Lisbon.

By Jo Weston, VeryChic correspondent
It used to be known as Europe’s best-kept secret, but Lisbon is rapidly becoming the fashionable go-to destination. The reasons are as multi-faceted as the city’s turbulent history, its mesmerising mix of historic architecture and maze of ancient alleyways. There’s an edgy feel to some districts, but also a gentle culture that embraces impressive, handsome murals and street art. On the site of the old Cabaret Maxime, Maxime Hotel epitomises the blend of living history, artistic hedonism and a sheer sense of fun that characterises Portugal’s capital.
