Hôtel Belaroïa ★★★★

Elegant, avant-garde ‘jewel’ in France’s fastest growing city.

By Liam McRedmond, VeryChic correspondent
Montpellier is a Mediterranean city that, despite its history, feels young. Perhaps this is thanks to the students, who make up a third of the population. At the same time, it’s famed for its historic exuberance and panache. The landed gentry flocked here in the 17th century, and, from then on, it became a place known for its mansions and general flair. The Hôtel Belaroïa is no exception to this. It is an architectural feat that combines technical precision with contemporary futurism. It considers Montpellier’s historical inclination toward stylishness as well as its youthful energy, making it the perfect place to base your holiday.
