View all offersYou have arrived at a boutique hotel in the 9th arrondissement of Paris with custom designs by Anne Peyroux. This Parisian quarter is renowned for its museums, shops and theatres such as the famous Palais Garnier opera house, nicknamed “the wedding cake” for its domed roof and intricate architecture. Fashionistas flock to the Galeries Lafayette and Printemps department stores for the latest trends, while in South Pigalle, gourmet restaurants marry intimate museums such as that of Gustave Moreau. A stay at the four-star Hotel Veryste will be one of opulence, comfort and high-quality service.
Enter the tall, glass double doors to your elegant home for the next few days, the creamy lobby indulges you to sit in the comfy cream armchairs as you look out onto the street. Hausmann-style accents echo throughout the hotel, from the marble tabletops as you enter to intricate glass lampshades and velvet cushions in the bedrooms, to the marble of the bathrooms.
Our cosy cocoon was the Deluxe Room; plush, pristine white linen draped the bed with ample room to stetch out over, while velvet, royal blue cushions added a touch of luxury and grandeur. Typically Parisian décor, gold gilding and moldings coated the walls, intermixing with the golden headboard and blending well with the soft coloured curtains. Every morning we would look onto the terrace and enjoy a quick cup of coffee from our convenient Nespresso machine before making our way to breakfast.
Your neighbourhood is brimming with much to discover, from the national museum of Gustave Moreau to the Grevin family-friendly wax museum, highlighting French and contemporary figures. We took a tour of Palais Garnier, learnt the story of the “Phantom of the Opera” and took many photos to capture the breathtakingly beautiful interiors from the staircase to the chandeliers and grand auditorium. Later in the day, we explored some of the more well-known Parisian attractions and a night-time cruise of the Seine is certainly something to consider. It’s easy to see why Paris is know as the “city of lights” and of romance!
