In the heart of Bilbao city, Radisson Collection Hotel, Gran Vía Bilbao is contemporary bliss, set in the cosmopolitan Gran Via district. Immerse yourself in the vibrant, upscale neighbourhood, teeming with theatres, restaurants and bars. Enjoy Bilbao’s famous “pintxos”, visit the world-renowned Guggenheim Museum, and leisurely stroll through the old medieval town, where the Bilbao Cathedral dominates the skyline, and narrow, stone-paved streets pave the way to charming, café-clad squares. Of course, close too, are the sandy shores of Biscay, where waves draw surfers to Playa de Sopelana, and Playa de la Arena offers a nice palm tree dotted promenade.

    It is a minor international airport, but does receive flights, both year-round and seasonal, from many major European cities, including from the UK.

TO THE HOTEL

  • • Taxi: taxis are found outside the arrivals halls, fares are by the metre depending on distance and time of day, It should take about 16 minutes to reach the hotel.

    • Bus: the Bizkaibus shuttle bus service (line A3247) operates from the airport. Get off at Gran Via 74 and the hotel is just a one minute walk away. The bus departs every 30 minutes.

    • Transfer: a transfer is possible to and from Bilbao airport to the hotel on request and with confirmation from the hotel (for a surcharge).
