View all offersAfter a quick 15-minute drive from Samui International Airport, my partner and I, along with our nieces and nephews arrived at the tropical paradise that is the Sheraton Samui Resort. Palms swaying to the gentle breeze off the Gulf of Siam, and the turquoise pool water complimenting the verdant green backdrop to the hotel, we were more than happy with our choice of holiday destination.
Inside our airy deluxe room flaunted a modern, Mediterranean décor. Our spacious balcony overlooked the lush tropical gardens enveloping the garden pool. The beachfront pool made alternating between pool and sea very easy, and you can sample Thai cuisine as you lounge by the water. If you can escape for a moment, we recommend booking a slot at the hotel’s Glow Spa to treat yourself to an aromatherapy bath. We participated in mindfulness beach yoga, while the kids were busy at the kid’s club. There’s also a 24-hour gym and outdoor tennis court, working out seems easier when you’re on a tropical island!
The sky-blue sea lay just footsteps away, this is where we spent many an afternoon sunbathing and swimming, before a handcrafted cocktail at Blue Monkey bar. The candlelit beachside venue was one of our favourite spots to unwind after a day of entertaining the kids.
Coco Scoop had a fun and casual beach atmosphere, this is where we would sit down to breakfast in the open-air, with a fine selection to choose from, including crepes, waffles and fresh juices. At the refreshing beach restaurant of Long Talay, you can sample the exquisite flavours of Thai cuisine, while kids have a wide selection of international food options. My personal favourite was the “Tom Yum Koong”, an invigorating blend of fragrant lemongrass and lime with succulent fresh prawns.
From a paradisaical location to fine dining, and its family-friendly approach, The Sheraton Samui Resort is the perfect family, group or couple’s destination for a dreamy sun kissed vacation.
