View all offersWe opened the door to modern Emirati luxury, in awe as we stepped into a sparkling, bright, high-ceilinged lobby, with marble pillars and bouquets of rose red flowers. It was like walking into a movie! The theme of elegance and affluence seeped through to every corner of the hotel, from the velvet-textured seating and elaborate lanters in the common areas, to the lavish rooms, infused with Arabian richness. Thanks to VeryChic, we benefited from a room upgrade to the Ocean Deluxe Room, with half board. Inspiring sea views greeted us each morning as we drew back the lace curtains. The colour scheme was warm and comforting, chocolate brown frames ran around the windows and in the bathroom, we revelled in the Arabian style and separate marble bathtub.
Buzzing with excitement, we headed to Wild Wadi Waterpark on day one, where we attempted to surf artificial waves, plummeted down slippery slides and floated in the lagoon. In the afternoon, to unwind from all the adrenaline, it was time for the spa! Private treatment villas meant we could enjoy a rejuvenating couple’s massage in the calm outdoors. We also recommend a guided meditation with the hotel’s yogi master, that left us blissfully relaxed.
You must embark on a boat tour of the resort, discovering the varied restaurants, shops and facilities. The Madinat Jumeriah Souk is within a five-minute stroll, a bazaar in typical Middle Eastern style, full of precious souvenirs, sparkly slippers and traditional wear. We wandered below the ornate lanterns and carved wooden arcade before stopping for a light lunch with a backdrop of Old Dubai.
When our final day had arrived, we didn’t want to leave the luxury of our plush palace. One thing is for sure, we’d definitely recommend staying at the Jumeirah Mina A'Salam *****, it’s the kind of glorious finesse that only dreams are made of.
