Solar do Castelo offers a romantic stay in the historical heart of Lisbon at the top of Alfama. Located within the walls of the São Jorge Castle, you will stay in a historical & privileged area. The small, 18th century mansion surrounds a noble patio built on the former kitchen site of the Royal Palace. This historical establishment is specifically designed in a medieval contemporary style, offering a magical stay with all the amenities you might need.

BY PLANE

  • Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS), or simply "Lisbon Airport", sits just 7km / 4.3mi north of Lisbon city centre and around 10km / 6mi (27 minutes') drive from the hotel. It is a well-served international airport and the main hub for TAP Portugal. The airport receives regular flights from most capitals and many other major cities in Europe, including from the UK.

    To the hotel:

    • Taxi: located outside the terminals, prices are calculated on distance and it should take around 15-30 minutes to reach the city centre.

    • Metro: the red line operates to São Sebastião in the city, change there for the blue line, or at Alameda for the green line, into the city centre. The journey takes around 35 minutes.

    • Bus: Aerobus Line 1 operates to the city centre of Lisbon every 20 minutes, taking around 45 minutes.
