The Hotel Belleclaire Central Park **** boasts a great Manhattan location, in a tranquil residential area of the Upper West Side. It's tree-lined streets, offer a bit of respite from the noise of vibrant Midtown and the rest of central New York. The area boasts great restaurants and museums and is close to both Central Park and Riverside Park.
ADMINISTRATIVE FORMALITIES

In this case, you must apply for the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) prior to boarding your flight to the United States. It is recommended to apply at least 72 hours prior to travel. The ESTA is valid for up to two years and allows for multiple entries of up to 90 days each into the United States (if you receive a new passport during the two-year period, you will have to reapply for your ESTA).
BY PLANE
New York is currently served by two main international airports. Between them they receive international flights from around the world, including major cities across the UK and the rest of Europe:
• John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) sits about 12mi / 20km southeast of Lower Manhattan.
• Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) sits about 15mi / 24km southwest of Midtown Manhattan, in New Jersey.
Taxis are readily available from both airports, be sure to take a licensed taxi from the designated rank, and remember to factor in a 15% tip. Otherwise:
• From JFK Airport: take the AirTrain JFK Green to Howard Beach Station, followed by an A train to 59 St-Columbus Circle station, then a 1 train to 79 Street station.
• From Newark Liberty: take the Newark Airport Express bus to Port Authority Terminal, walk 4 minutes to Times Sq–42 Street station and take the 1, 2 or 3 train to 72 Street station.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Subway:
• 79 Street station is a 2 minute walk from the hotel, served by the 1, 2 and 3 line trains.
Bus:
• Broadway/W 77 Street bus stop is 1 minute from the hotel, served by the M104 bus.
• Amsterdam Av/W 77 Street bus stop is 3 minutes' from the hotel, served by the M7 and M11 bus.
• Riverside Dr/W 77 Street bus stop is 4 minutes' from the hotel, served by the M5 bus.
From Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays, Sundays and French bank holidays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
