View all offersTastefully Decorated:
Staying in this hotel will give you a real taste of Alsatian culture. Fully renovated in 2012, it has kept its traditional town house exterior and taken on a modern, stylish interior. You will have everything you need for a pleasant stay in Obernai: each room is tastefully decorated, air conditioned and equipped with free Wi-Fi and an LED TV. The rooms are spacious, light and airy. The hotel is very close to the market square as well as the Saint-Pierre and Saint-Paul churches. Being right in the centre means you have easy access to other towns in the region. With the reception open 24 hours a day, the staff are always there to provide you with information on the surrounding area.
Wine and Dine:
As the hotel is located in the heart of the old town, it is the perfect opportunity to sample some Alsatian culinary delights. Why not try a bäckeoffe, a kind of casserole which directly translate as ‘bakers oven’, or bite into some bierwurscht, a strong Alsatian sausage, or the famous Coq au Reisling, which is chicken in Riesling wine served with spaetzli, a type of noodle - there’s a whole world out there to discover! Alternatively, follow the famous Alsace wine route and stay in this hotel as you pass through Obernai. First visit: Colmar, which is known as “Little Venice”, and if that doesn’t float your boat (or should I say “gondola”?), then you can visit the Medieval town of Ribeauville, one of the oldest towns in Alsace.
The Glass Is Always Half Full:
In this hotel it is! Not only does it have luxurious rooms, but you can make the most out of the sauna to rest your tired legs after a day out and about exploring Alsatian delights. Why not book yourself in for one of the massages or if you’re feeling particularly active, make the most of the fitness equipment in the fitness suite. You will definitely feel revitalised after a visit to the hotel’s relaxation centre!
No Need for Sour Grapes:
If you decide to choose this hotel, prepare yourself for some jealous friends. Alsace is perhaps not visited by as many tourists as other areas in France, but VeryChic knows that this region has plenty to offer. You can experience an entirely new culture, taste traditional dishes, go on numerous wine tours and immerse yourself in Alsatian history. And where’s the perfect place to stay while you do all of that? Hôtel Le Colombier, of course!
