Hotel Principe ★★★★
Lista di Spagna, 146

Venice
Italy
The Hotel Principe **** is ideally located, close to the spectacular brand-new Ponte della Costituzione, and close to the vaporetto stop with links to the Rialto Bridge and St Mark’s Square, in an area alive with Venice’s vibrant charm and historic beauty.
Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE), is located on the Italian mainland about 8 km (5 mi) north of Venice. Many airlines operate flights to this airport (although it serves as a base for Volotea and EasyJet). It receives international flights from most capital cities, and many other large cities, from across Europe.
- By Ferry: Take the Orange Alilaguna line towards San Marco. Get off at Guglie, and then walk to the hotel. The water bus runs all day, for more information, please see the website. The journey across the Venetian Lagoon is very pleasant from a historical point of view, but also famed for its magnificent scenery
- By Boat Service: Minimum two people for this shared boat service: boats often wait for up to forty minutes to fill up. It will stop at every hotel destination required by other travellers, but is quicker than the Alilaguna public service. Prices start at 27€.
- By Private Water Taxi: If you have a lot of luggage, or are travelling in a large group, consider a private water taxi, which will deposit you and your bags at the front of the hotel. These can be booked on arrival at the Consorzio Motoscafi Venezia desk in the Arrivals Hall at Marco Polo. The hire charge includes up to 4 passengers and their luggage. Extra passengers up to the limit of the water taxi (12 or 16) carry a very small surcharge - the official rate is €1.60. If the Consorzio Motoscafi Venezia desk is closed you can walk to the landing stage and hire a private water taxi directly there. There are usually several waiting to be hired. You should not have to pay more than €80 - 120 for the launch, depending on how far you are travelling.
- By Bus: Travelling by bus is the most economical option. For 1,10€, the number 5 bus will drop you at Piazza de Roma. The journey is around 30-45 minutes, because the bus makes several stops before arriving. Tickets can be purchased at the terminal, and don’t forget to validate your ticket at the yellow machines to avoid a fine.
The Blue Bus is a direct coach service, and only takes twenty minutes to reach Venice. There are services until 00.20, and tickets costing just 3€ can be purchased from the conductor.
Santa Lucia station is just 200 metres from the hotel. From here, Trenitalia trains go to Milan, Rome and Paris. It is less than a five-minute walk to the hotel from the station.
We recommend that you book activities online in advance in order to make the most of your time in Venice.
