The Our Habitas Bacalar ***** is located around 4 hours’ drive south of Cancun, near the laid-back town of Bacalar and next to the Bacalar Lagoon, also known as the Lagoon of Seven Colours for its varying blue and turquoise hues. The area is a hidden gem, far from the crowds of Cancun, Playa del Carmen, and Tulum. It boasts plenty to do and see, culturally and the natural surroundings, along with water sports and activities.
Citizens of UK or European Union countries do not require a visa to enter Mexico for up to 180 days.
An immigration form must be completed and shown when entering/leaving Mexico. It is available on board flights to Mexico, or online in advance.
A passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended date of entry to Mexico is also required. It may also be required to show proof of your departure plans.
Note: if flying indirect via another country, be sure to check the requirements for that country. For instance, if flying via the United States it is necessary to apply for the ESTA Visa / Waiver Program in order to transit through the US.
Cancún International Airport (CUN) sits just south of Cancun, and 4 hours' drive north of the hotel. The airport is fairly well served internationally, and receives a number of direct flights from major cities/capitals across Europe, including from the UK. Alternatively, indirect options include flying via the USA, or elsewhere in Mexico.
