With its distinctive red shuttered windows, salmon-coloured stone walls, and grey-green roof, the enticing Chalet Ficalho is one such 19th-century villa. Lovingly restored with beautiful decor, its nine elegant and cosy bedrooms await you. Nearby is the whitewashed Nossa Senhora da Assunção church, with glazed azulejo tiles or Paula Rego's House of Stories, which shows the Portuguese artist's paintings. The Chalet Ficalho is set in recently renovated, beautiful stately home in the Museum Quarter at the heart of Cascais' historic town centre. The hotel is just a short walk from both the Marechal Carmona Park, one of the town's most extensive and pretty gardens, as well as Ribeira Beach. Lisbon is just 30-minutes' drive to the east.
Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS), or simply "Lisbon Airport", sits just north of Lisbon city centre, around 37km / 23mi / 35 minutes' drive east of the hotel. It is a well-served international airport and the main hub for TAP Portugal. The airport receives regular flights from most capitals and many other major cities in Europe, including from the UK.
