Close your eyes and imagine wandering through the bustling labyrinthine alleyways of Marrakech’s famed medina, its ancient walled city, and hear the melodic call to prayer echoing in the background as wafts of aromatic spices greet you. A trip to this enchanting city never fails to delight with its terracotta and dusky pink buildings dazzling against a bright cerulean sky. Hidden away in the north-west of the medina is the beautiful Grand Riad and Spa, which is waiting to welcome you and provide an authentic Moroccan stay.
The only way to truly experience Marrakech is by staying in an authentic riad, and the Grand Riad and Spa is an excellent choice, with its stunning traditional architecture, intricate tilework and ornate furnishings. Centred around a beautiful, tranquil courtyard, you'll find your spacious, elegantly decorated room equipped with modern amenities, ensuring you have everything you need for your stay.
Wake up each morning to your delicious inclusive traditional breakfast and feast on tasty Moroccan crêpes, eggs, cake and beldi (natural) yoghurts. Enjoy this wide selection of fresh and homemade delights accompanied by fresh orange juice, tea and coffee.
After breakfast, head out to explore the city, from its incredible mosques, such as the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, to the famous El Badi and Bahia Palaces. Discover some of the fabulously manicured gardens, such as the beautiful Le Jardin Secret, and not to forget the bustling souk markets - with their colourful stalls selling everything you can think of from lanterns and lamps, rugs, leather goods, jewellery and a whole lot more.
After a day out exploring, return to the calm of the riad. Unwind in the quiet haven of the courtyard, which provides a peaceful oasis away from the hustle and bustle or head to the spa and select from an array of pampering treatments designed to relax and rejuvenate, boasting a traditional Moroccan hammam and an indoor pool you'll be truly spoilt.
Whilst there is a vast array of restaurants in Marrakech to tickle your taste buds, the riad also has its own excellent restaurant with a menu featuring both Moroccan and Mediterranean cuisine, all made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. After dinner, visit the rooftop terrace and gaze out upon this magical city - there really is nowhere quite so alluring.
