Istanbul: ancient meeting point of East and West, home of some of the most beloved architecture in the world, city of legends and dreams, the strip of water intersecting not only the city but two continents. On our travels in Turkey, my husband and I never tire of this wonderful city of cities. On this trip, we wanted to be in the centre of the Old City, within walking distance of the great sights. Levni Hotel & Spa was in the perfect location, and the added bonus for me was some special relaxation and pampering in the spa!

BY PLANE

  • Istanbul is served by two international airports:

    • Istanbul Atatürk Airport (IST) is Istanbul's main international airport, located on the European side, about 24km / 15mi west of the city centre. It receives regular direct flights from many capitals and major cities across Europe, including from the UK.

    • To reach Levni Hotel & Spa from Istanbul Airport (Tayakadın, Terminal Caddesi No:1, 34283 Arnavutköy/İstanbul, Türkiye), walk for about 5 minutes (200 meters) from the airport to İstanbul Havalimanı (Peron 15). From there, take a 1-hour 16-minute bus journey (Bus HVIST-15 towards Beşiktaş Meydan, 3 stops) to Beşiktaş Meydan, then transfer to Bus 28T (Topkapı, 10 stops) and ride for 12 minutes. Finally, walk for approximately 14 minutes (900 meters) to reach the hotel at Hoca Paşa Mahallesi, Ankara Cd. No:12, 34110 Fatih/İstanbul, Türkiye.

    • Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW) is located on the Asian side, about 35km / 22mi southeast of the city centre. It also receives direct flights from a number of cities across Europe, including from the UK.
