Hotel Claridge ★★★★

Four-star quiet and comfort in exuberant Madrid.

By Jo Weston, VeryChic correspondent
Our tour of Spain last year could not have been complete without a visit to Madrid, that vibrant, forever reinvented, buzzing city full of life and laughter, boutiques and haute couture, palaces and palazzos, galleries and street-markets. In short, Madrid is the other city that never sleeps! For me irresistible, but also the problem. I do like to sleep! On a previous visit many years ago we had a lot of noise disturbance in our central location, so for this trip we searched for somewhere slightly off-centre, comfortable and quiet. This time we found what we needed, to perfection. The Hotel Claridge ****.
