The Sonian Forest is thick, dense and so enchanting that you could almost expect to stumble upon Hansel and Gretel’s gingerbread house at any moment. The impregnable woodland exudes peace and tranquillity; yet instead of a bewitched cottage it is a magnificent hotel which suddenly appears through the trees. BY PLANE

  • Brussels is served by two airports, Brussels National Airport (17 km) located in the neighbouring municipality of Zaventem, and Brussels-South Charleroi Airport (58 km) located between Brussels and Charleroi in Gosselies.

    Brussels National Airport receives flights from most capitals and major cities across Europe. Meanwhile, low-cost airlines (notably Ryanair), operate flights to Brussels-South Charleroi Airport from many cities across Europe.

HOW TO GET FROM THE AIRPORT TO THE HOTEL

  • By Car:
    From Brussels International Airport: Continue on A201 to Machelen and take the exit for Zaventem from A201. Get on the E40 in Zaventem and follow it ot the R0 in the direction of Terhulpsesteenweg/ N275 in Hoeilaart. Take the exit towards the E40/R0/E19 and the direction of Gent/Luik/Antwerpen/Luchthaven. Continue on N275 and drive to Brusselsesteenweg/ Chaussée de Bruxelles in La Hulpe. Turn left onto Terhulpsesteenweg/N275 and ollow the signs for the hotel which will be on the right.

    From Brussels South–Charleroi Airport:
    Take the motorway A54 toward Brussels. Follow the ring R0 in the direction of Namur/Namen - Zaventem. Take the Hoeillaart - Boisfort-Genval exit. Take the first road on your right at the traffic light toward Genval. Follow this road for about 3 km (2 miles) until you reach the entrance to Dolce La Hulpe Brussels hotel on the right.

BY TRAIN

  • Brussels is easily accessible by train. Arriving internationally, high-speed trains are operated by several companies: Eurostar from the UK, TGV from France and Thalys from a variety of countries including the UK, France, Germany and the Netherlands. Some journey times are: Paris (1 hour 30 minutes), London, Amsterdam and Cologne (1 hour and 50 minutes).

    Arriving by Eurostar, TGV, Thalys or local train, you need to go to the Brussels Midi Station. From there you can take another local train to the La Hulpe or Groenendaal stations. Then you can take the bus TEC 366. However, be aware that the bus stop is at the Chaussée de Bruxelles. You will have to walk approximately 1 km on a private route to reach the hotel.
