Sanremo, the jewel of the Italian Riviera, still simmers with all the glamour and elite delight that it was endowed with at the turn of the 20th century. Much of the striking, elegant architecture of the era survives, offering a true taste of what life was like in that moment of revolution, revelry and freedom, the golden age of the Belle Epoque. The greatest testament to this time is the magnificent Royal Hotel Sanremo *****L, which has run in the same family since its opening 147 years ago. It is the epitome of graceful luxury, antique charm and refreshing modern style that brings the past to life and embraces the present, the result being a dreamy haven of pleasure, relaxation and well-being.
